  1. FPV (First-Person View) Capabilities:
    • The drone comes with FPV functionality, allowing users to see real-time footage through a connected smartphone or FPV goggles (not included).
    • It provides a decent experience for beginners who want to experience immersive flying without investing in expensive FPV setups.
  2. Camera Quality:
    • The T70 features an HD camera (typically 720p or 1080p), suitable for capturing basic aerial photos and videos.
    • While the quality is sufficient for beginners, it’s not ideal for high-quality or professional-level footage.
    • The camera is often fixed in place. Of course, this limits the ability to adjust angles mid-flight.
  3. Flight Time and Range:
    • Expect a flight time of around 8-12 minutes per charge, which is average for drones in this price range. Therefore, a second battery may be necessary for longer sessions.
    • The control range typically spans around 100-150 meters, which is limited but adequate for beginners learning to control a drone.
  4. Ease of Use:
    • The T70 is equipped with one-button take-off and landing, so this makes it easy for novice pilots.
    • It includes altitude hold to stabilize the drone at a set height, which helps improve the stability of captured footage.
    • The controls are simple, with headless mode, making orientation easier for new users.
  5. Durability and Design:
    • The drone’s plastic build is lightweight but somewhat fragile. It can withstand small crashes, but repeated impacts may cause damage.
    • Propeller guards are often included to protect the drone during minor crashes.
  6. Speed and Agility:
    • The T70 offers multiple speed modes, allowing you to increase speed as your piloting skills improve.
    • It’s reasonably responsive and fun for casual flying but not built for advanced aerobatic manoeuvres.

The T70 FPV Drone performs well for its price point, offering a smooth flying experience for beginners. The altitude hold and headless mode make it easier for new users to manage. Also, the inclusion of FPV adds an extra level of engagement.

However, the camera’s quality is basic, so users looking for crisp footage will likely be disappointed. The battery life and control range are sufficient for short flights, but more advanced pilots may find them limiting.

  • Affordable and good for beginners.
  • FPV functionality provides immersive flying.
  • Easy to fly with altitude hold and one-button take-off/landing.
  • Multiple speed modes for varying skill levels.
  • Camera quality is mediocre (especially for aerial photography).
  • Limited control range and flight time.
  • Fragile build quality; may not withstand heavy crashes.
  • Not suitable for professional-level FPV racing or high-end aerial videography.

The T-Series T70 FPV Drone is a solid entry-level drone for beginners looking to explore FPV flying or basic aerial photography. While it lacks advanced features and premium build quality, it provides good value for those just starting out or experimenting with drones. If you’re looking for a simple, low-cost FPV drone, the T70 is worth considering, but experienced pilots may want to invest in a more advanced model.

  1. I bought one from red5 and took it back because would not work, they changed it for another and I asked if they could test they said they can start it but can’t fly it in the shop, it did start but when I got it home I tried its first flight it took off and then I had no control, all I could do is watch it disappear into the horizon. Worst £149 I’ve ever spent, now I’ve got to contact trading standard to see were I stand on getting my money back even though the drone has gone

    1. Same here lost the drone
Had no controll of the drone
Home button does not work even after adjusting the trim buttons and short flights for practice. BYER BEWARE
Put a peace of string on it

  2. Sounds pretty dangerous that. I hope there was no damage to other people or property. Of course, you should be able to get your money back. I’d be interested to know the result.

  4. Got mine from Menknd. First up the instructions are abysmal, they dont even instruct on how to connect the controller to the drone. After a shop revisit, they got it working. However proper flying is impossible, just a slight touch on the throttle it flies up then off it goes backwards with no control. No trimming works and despite drone seeming to be well built the controller unit is pathetic. Definately built down to a price.

  5. I brought mine secound hand it was advertised as a syma x8. However I now know its red5 t70. It took of OK but then flew off with me having no control. Lucky after 2 mins it came down.
